What customers say?

“ 4.5 stars. Couldn't fault the $10 sweet and sour pork with rice was tasty and satisfying. Good find. They sell frozen dumplings and other yum cha foods as well. ”

“ Foods r delicious. I want to say the drinks r awesome, that the ice lemon tea’s ice is made by lemon tea. And also sue metal ice cubic for ice milk tea. Already put lots details on the drinks, I believe the food is also. Well done ”

“ A great find. Really nice yum cha, in a small little place. Made to order. Can buy frozen to take home ”

“ A highly regarded Dim Sum eatery in Boronia Mall, we'd never been before so had to try it out. We LOVED it. A great variety of thinner skinned Cantonese and southern style dumplings (which can be harder to find because many Melbourne venues do the more Shanghai style thicker skinned versions). Xiao Long Bao (the genuine and delicate version), Siu Mai, Har Gao, and REALLY lovely Char Siu Bao, we're ALL fantastic. My dumpling loving sons devoured everything in seconds. Friendly and welcoming service, and we now have a definite need to return here with their mother, who missed out this time! ”

“ Dim Dim Project is a surprise find. Whilst looking unassuming, this little places packs a punch. Looking for dumplings and steamed dishes for a quick meal? It's here. Dumplings galore, steam buns, chicken sticky rice and more. Looking for noodle dishes? There's a heap to choose from including crispy seafood noodles. There's rice dishes also. Although most dishes are affordable and of good value, there are also lunch specials available. Looking for something to take home? All of the dishes on the menu can be packed 'to go'. Though if you have a look in the large wall feezers on the left of the restaurant you will find a plethora of frozen delights - dumplings, sticky rice, tarts, buns and much more. Come visit and check it out. ”

“ A neat little shop offering all kinds of homemade frozen dim sum. They also have a dine-in option with freshly steamed dim sum and a variety of other Chinese dishes. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Our favorite was the custard and black sesame bun — the bun was super soft, not too sweet, and the filling oozed out perfectly when you bite into it. So good! ”

“ Stopped in for a quick takeaway lunch of dumplings. I didn’t need 10 pieces so they allowed me to half the menu option and just have five. I like it when people are flexible. The dumplings were so soft and delicious. They felt very fresh and tasted awesome with the (slightly sweetened?) soy sauce that I was given. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu with friends ”

“ Absolutely impressed with both the service and the food! The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. I especially loved the lemon tea — you can tell they put real effort into it. The ice cubes are actually made from lemon tea, so the flavour stays perfect even as they melt. The sugar comes separately too, letting you adjust the sweetness to your own taste. Super considerate! The food was also amazing — full of rich flavour and that wonderful “wok hei” you can only get from real Chinese cooking. Truly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! ”
